Susana has a passion for natural therapies and their ability to empower us by showing the amazing beauty, dynamism and healing capacity of our bodies. In her practice, Susana uses an integral approach, which recognizes the richness and diversity of a person and their unique relationship with their body and health. As a partner in your healing, Susana will work with you to restore your body’s alignment to bring about clarity, abundance and lasting transformation. In addition to acupuncture, Susana integrates holistic modalities like craniosacral, sound, massage and aroma-acupoint therapies creating a unique treatment plan customized to address your goals.
Susana feels immensely grateful to enter into the stories of the people that she meets and she honors diverse cultures and welcomes the opportunity to work with people of all backgrounds.
EDUCATION
Susana graduated from Bastyr University, where she earned a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture, a Bachelor's degree in Natural Health Sciences and certification with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Upon graduation she began to pursue her interest in maternal healthcare becoming a birth doula, a childbirth educator and a maternal mental health advocate. She has experience working in hospital and clinical environments in Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center at their chronic fatigue clinic and in California at Marin General Hospital and Marin Community Clinics where she worked alongside midwives and social workers to provide underserved pregnant people with access to perinatal healthcare.
VOLUNTEERING
Volunteering has always been a very important part of Susana’s life. She holds a special place in her heart for the Foster care community and the amazing families that she been fortunate enough to get to know throughout the years. Another program Susana has been proud to support is Open Arms Perinatal Services. As a birth doula., Susana has offered support to pregnant people during pregnancy, labor and birth.
HAPPY TO BE BACK IN THE PNW
Being back in the PNW brings so much joy to Susana’s life; it grounds her and inspires her to connect to nature. The more she connects to the plant world, the more she can see its beautiful cycles and patterns reflected in her own body, heart, and mind. Family, friends and nature have been her healers and teachers. They have brought a sense of belonging and purpose to her life.
