Sadie Hitsky
Functional Nutrition, Registered Dietician
Sadie is a Seattle-based Registered Dietitian who completed her training in Integrative and Functional Nutrition at Bastyr University offering a whole-foods based approach to optimizing health.
She has experience working as a hospital-based clinical dietitian and specializes in digestive health with certifications in the low FODMAP diet from Monash University. Sadie loves translating her nutrition education into tangible solutions her patients can use to positively impact their life. Her favorite thing about being an RD is partnering with patients to make sustainable changes that optimize their wellbeing.
Sadie has been fortunate to have been raised by parents who prioritized home cooked, whole food meals. She grew up planting, tending to, and eating straight out of gardens and greenhouses in her backyard and she enjoyed helping her parents cook from a young age.
Sadie decided to pursue a career in nutrition after studying the Slow Food Movement in Rome, Italy while in undergrad at the University of Washington. During this program, she had the opportunity to live on several farms while learning about how food is created and shared to nourish communities small and large. Since returning from that program, Sadie has continued to seek out every opportunity to keep learning about how we can nourish our mind, body, and souls with the food choices we make every day.
An ADVENTURER AT HEART
Sadie is native to the Pacific Northwest and enjoys spending her time backpacking, cross country skiing, taking yoga classes, cooking new recipes, and roller skating when the sunshine is out. She finds joy in traveling and meeting people along the way to learn about new places.
